Collectively, our club members have over 1000 years of experince and knowledge in several areas of geology. With prior arrangements, club members may give classes and/or demonstrations in several areas of geology: fossils, lapidary, gem stones, minerals, and more.

Our club supports the district’s scouting program by sponsoring girls and boys age 14 - 20 to learn all they can about geology. They attend and participate in all programs and activities and are supported 110% by all club members. New youths are always welcome.

Our club strongly supports the following programs with contributions and membership:

  • American Federation Endowment Fund.
  • American Federation Scholarship Fund.
  • New Mexico Bureau of Mines Museum Endowment Fund.
  • New Mexico Tech Rockhound Scholarship Program.
  • American Lands Access Association, Inc. (ALAA) - Protecting the public lands for the public.
